Hm, "About this Account" says I was based in the US. ??? Quite possibly I created the account while I was in the US, but that was 16 years ago, when no one considered faking Twitter accs yet... ;-)
@tienkeiw I kind of like everything we read in English in school -- best probably Animal Farm. But I didn't go to school in an English-speaking country, so take this with a grain of salt. (I hated most of the German things we had to read.)
@JackTilde Haven't been at it for long (5 queries) and gave myself 50 before I'd go indie. Seeing the thread that actually looks like a low number. Will be revising first, though, got to working with a great writing coach.
Working with the amazing @themanuscriptdr to iron out the kinks in my WiPs. Totally worth it!
Will continue querying right after. ##amWriting#fantasy#WritingCommunity
@KaylaAncrum@KeirAlekseii Depends on which country. In Germany there were still 12,000 payphones in 2022 -- they are only now being dismantled (by 2025)
@helen__chester The best way to teach your kids to read is to have books. If you grow up in a household filled with books, reading is a natural impulse...
At Celosphere 2023 in München. Huge event! Will be presenting data based insights on #GenAI this afternoon; right now, enjoying the keynote #celosphere2023#IBM
@JoshuaOreskovic@GeenaTheQueena@DevronAlistar@GailSimone Maybe the way you played it. The DMs I played with were all good storytellers, and the town adventures (without any hack&slay) were a big part of the fun. Of course, we were all early 20s, so no puberty hormones flying around.
@JoshuaOreskovic@GeenaTheQueena@DevronAlistar@GailSimone Hm, back in the day of AD&D 1st edition, our local groups were always roughly 50/50 male/female. The game was always about storytelling, and none of the players or DMs cared what it was designed for -- rules were there to be broken for max fun. (Rule #1: if it's fun, it works.)
