"nobody is obligated to read my translations" that's not how it works lol when your post gets traction people who don't know you or don't interact will take your translation at face value because they're expecting it to be correct. this can and has caused multiple issues before

i’ve been studying korean for many years and continue to learn every day. i’m not a native speaker, i’ve never claimed to know korean perfectly, and like anyone learning a foreign language, there are always things i’m still learning.

when i come across unfamiliar words, slang, or cultural references, i do my best to research them using dictionaries, reference materials, korean-language resources, k-native forums and sometimes by asking my teacher for clarification, but not ai.

i understand that people may have different opinions about translations, and that’s completely okay. everyone is free to interpret things differently and decide which sources they feel most comfortable trusting.

i’d also like to mention that there are many translators in tinytown, each with their own strengths, experience, and translation style. nobody is obligated to read my translations, and if another translator’s work resonates with you more, that’s perfectly fine.

i’m simply someone who enjoys learning korean, sharing translations of content that interests me, and continuing to improve along the way. i’m always doing my best with the knowledge and resources available to me (not ai).

thank you to everyone who has supported my work. i’ll continue studying and learning to provide you with translations to the best of my abilities.

@mistylillies yeah, at this point most big tech corporations are not only using ai but demanding their services adapt to it as well, so most apps will use it at some capacity. one suggestion is deepL, and while it uses AI it's their own and not generative but i can't say about its accuracy

@mistylillies some functions (like offline translation) are processed in your device and not servers (which def helps!) but most of the time if you're doing voice or image translations you're still using their servers

@kyoromi04 I think what they meant mostly is that you have a certain frequency in opportunities to see them... they were there last year, and if they don't go this year (which is not even confirmed) then they'll go next year

as I said you're valid in being upset that eu may get skipped, but those specific pains you pointed out are applicable to almost everyone

@kyoromi04 in brazil, domestic flights can cost over 700 euros (converted) and domestic flights in the us are also not cheap --everyone's making those arrengements, most atiny are traveling within their countries/continents to attend
