CN posted Si to Winter SK for about 9 years, then to Cereal SK. In June of 1966 Si became a CN Station Agent in Unity where he and his wife Irene raised a family of four. He now has 17 grandchildren.
He returned to Canada in June, 1945 and was posted in Yarmouth, NS to assist in training other crews. After being discharged he worked in Zealandia for a year then to Paris, Ontario for another year before joining the CNR (Canadian National Railway) as a dispatcher.
Silas was posted at Bournemouth England and said the barracks were right on the coastline. On a clear day they could see across the channel and several times German fighters zipped over and straffed the barracks area.
@Rob_Garner_ @sheldonjones83 One I can think off the top of my head quite a while ago. AJ Gass ripping off a Calgary players helmet in the exact same manner. Disqualified.
@Rob_Garner_ @sheldonjones83 Actually I am. You are looking for a black and white story about the removal of a helmet. I gave you 2 rediculois examples and you still don’t get it. It’s bush league crap. Save it for the game. Should have been 2 more riders gone as well.
