This is my last post on International Women in Engineering Day and hope you have enjoyed promoting it as much as we have!
I end today with a quote, from a simply incredible individual, who just happened to be a woman..

What better way to kick off #INWED23, than to hear from our MD, Peter Ahrens, on just how important today is for us, and also our on-going commitment to "promote, support, mentor and celebrate women in engineering, not just today, but every day".

@seanhathaway11 @bamberini@leembroad Short of the HS reforming it, I don’t see how this could happen. I fear that another internal reform process would not be acceptable to their membership.
@seanhathaway11 @bamberini@leembroad The Normington Review was self appointed. Further reform can either come from within again or be forced. The real is would therefore need to be who and how?
@bamberini Careful now, you don’t want to be driving into the realms of slander, now would you?
Certainly not as a serving police officer or are you just another anonymous account?
@bamberini@leembroad 2/2 and say, members weren’t the only ones treated like mushrooms on the subject of pensions, which goes back to my initial point. The full impact of this ruling is yet to play out, and my biggest fear is that this is a pyrrhic victory.
@bamberini 1/2 Reading the tribunal finding, as I am sure you and many others would have, was hard.
It does however shine a light on the autocracy that exists within the organisation, which will need to change or be reformed.
I also agree with @leembroad comment, but would go further
And the uncertainty circus in relation to #Police#Pensions continue...Immediate Detriment Guidance withdrawn by the Home Office and HMT.

Before we accept it when we're told the government 'can't afford' something that might be to the public good we should remind ourselves of facts like the following from the Office for National Statistics this morning:
Fantastic to have helped facilitate and moderate this first session.
#Libraries are so much more than buildings storing books, they are a hive of community activity, open to all.
Baroness Sanderson is bringing together voices from across the sector to discuss the future of libraries in a series of sessions
First up - exploring how libraries deliver cultural and creative enrichment, hosted @NottsLibraries with @DcmsLibraries
