@JimGlass@couldasaid@donaldturvill Louise Spence won the seat from Labour in a by-election, then resigned 2 days later, so it’s technically a gain by Labour, but realistically its victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.

🚨🚨🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Not only did a Colorado court BAR Trump from running in 2024, they ruled he “engaged in insurrection.”
Here are the details:
The court ruled Trump incited the riot at the US Capitol Building in an effort to overturn the result after he lost the US election in 2020.
“A majority of the court holds that Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment,” the court wrote in its 4-3 decision.
It marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.
There are DOZENS of states with similar cases before the courts.
Do you agree EVERY state should follow Colorado’s lead?
A ceasefire is the bare minimum. We need a long-term political solution that brings about real justice, real freedom and real peace for the Palestinian people.
Here’s a thing now. The auto-delete function on WhatsApp only came into being in November 2020. The pandemic started in March (some eight months earlier)
It’s great to have Lisa Cameron on board.
The @ScotTories will stand up for everyone who has been forgotten by the SNP to get the focus onto Scotland’s real priorities.
Hogg wasn’t acquitted because of “liberal laws”, it was (in large part) because of mistakes made by the prosecution, meaning the evidence couldn’t stand. Dropped due to incompetent lawyers would be more accurate.
Scottish man who R*ped a 13 year old girl smiles as he leaves court as his conviction is DROPPED due to liberal laws enacted by the Scottish government.
The 22 year old man repeatedly r*ped the 13 year old girl when he was aged 17 and was originally sentenced to do ‘unpaid work’ for his crimes.
In April this year, he was spared jail by Judge Lord Lake at the High Court in Glasgow and given just 270 hours of unpaid work for his punishment.
He has now had his conviction overturned because he is under the age of 25.
Under new court guidance in Scotland, criminals under the age of 25 are treated more leniently because of their alleged brain immaturity.
The judge that originally handed down his ‘unpaid work’ sentence said he would have given him 4-5 years in jail if he would have been over the age of 25.

Honest question.
What does that even mean? What is a dishonest question? Why would you feel the need to clarify unless you had form for being dishonest?
“It’s absolutely devastating for anyone with a concern about justice responses to rape”
Sandy Brindley from @rapecrisisscot says Sean Hogg’s acquittal - after being convicted of raping a 13 year old girl - sends a worrying message to young women thinking about reporting rape.
Still to hear a single Brexiteer explain why we should’ve left in the 1sr place - other than brazen racists that is, the rest just waffle something about control. Still, a weakened pound, no freedom of movement and an increasingly basket case, laughing stock of a country… yay.
There has been a significant drop in the number of drugs deaths across Scotland in the past year. In 2022, 1,051 lives were lost to substances - a decrease of 279 on the year before. Drugs policy minister Elena Whitham has welcomed the reduction. #HeartNews

Much is made of people in middle Scotland paying more in income tax than those in England.
But they also do not pay for prescriptions, higher education tuition and a range of other so-called 'free' things.
