Ms. Maryia Ubaid has successfully defended her M.Phil thesis titled " Effects of Different Modification Techniques on the Acrylamide Content in Selected Food Items" under the supervision of Dr Fazia Ghaffar and co-supervision of Dr. Abdus Sattar.
Ms Maria Noor M.Phil scholar has successfully defended her thesis/viva titled "Analysis of Acrylamide Content and Oil Quality in Baked and Fried Food Items Collected from Different Markets of District Peshawar" under the supervision of Dr. Fazia Ghaffar, Asstt. Prof. in CHE, UoP
M.Phil scholars Taqdees Fatima, Tehniyat Fatima and Sonia Rukhsar of Food and Nutrition Sciences, College of Home Economics, UoP have successfully defended their M.Phil theses. Their researches were supervised by Dr. Fazia Ghaffar. Congrats to the scholars, and their supervisor.
Ms. Sobia Ali successfully defended her M.Phil thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kaniz Fatima Haider. Her examiner was Dr. Tahir Farid, Assistant Professor (TTS), Department of Psychology, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan.
Ms. Safina Jehan, successfully defended her M.Phil thesis titled " Comparative study of Facebook users and non Facebook users on self esteem" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kaniz Fatima Haider. Her examiner was Prof. Dr. Erum Irshad Chairperson Department of Psychology, UoP.
Ms Wasaf Inayat, lecturer in CHE successfully defended her Ph.D dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jahanzeb. Her topic of research was "Application of Herzberg's theory to employees performance in private organizations of Peshawar, Pakistan".

Members congratulated both the convener and incharge for the successful conduction of the meeting.
A meeting of the College Board of Studies (BoS) was conducted today under the convenership of Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Khattak in which short certificate courses, certificate courses and diploma courses were approved in the specialised areas of Home Economics.
Remarkable thing about this BoS meeting was that for the first time, the College has professors and associate professors from the field of Home Economics as members as well. Hence, discussion and recommendations were very academic and relevant to the field of Home Economics.
