As the sign says, If you are racist, sexist, homophobic or an asshole, don't come in. I'll take that one step further. GFY! Feel free to engage me for educational links if you care to share your idiocies. I work with facts and call out those who bear false witness.
@harperlee789 I admit to giving a held door more frequently to folks who look like my priveledged white abled bretheren might ignore. My bretheren don't usually hold doors regardless so i'm less inclined to go outta my way for em.
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 See? We can meet. I'll buy ua a beer. I'd suggest it's not about the physical as much as the societal for most kids. Parents don't have easy choices, but they have resources. Education of both parent and kid by medical pro is key
@BarackObama I don't think our country has had a President who has represented my values more than you, Sir. You honor all mothers as you so beautifully honor your own. Even my slightly racist somewhat republican mother would have loved this video!
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 Yes. When the cons are society's slings and arrows (and constant fear of violence), it would have to be less of a choice (who would choose that path?) And more of a sense of an imperitive for their own true happiness. We don't choose to be lgbt. We take pride in accepting it.
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 Ok. I'll meet ya halfway. I could call it fear. Fear that it might be their family member. And that lack of acceptance is far more lethal to a trans person than any hornone treatment or gender surgury. THAT's what makes em depressed. And i say to the tell em to ef off.
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 If i had to deal with that kind of hate and bigotry for being me i'd probably feel sick too. I see other people on the receiving end and it makes me wanna puke.
@boonesghost@johnashleyxnk@covie_93 I find it hard to believe that you personally know a parent dealing with a gender questioning kid. Cause if ya did, you seem smart enough to let THEM and their Dr. deal with it. If they want your opinion, they'll ask.
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 No parent or adult i have seen has ever coerced a kid to express their trans gender leanings. The loving parent will respond to their kid's reality. And no one wants to shove anything in anyone's faces. Which, btw, is not the best metaphor for straits to use. I say look away.
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 So ask yourself why the heck would a person do something like that? Slings and arrows and all that. The alternative vecomes unacceptable. Don't tread on me becomes stronger than societal norms. Sound familiar?
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 Gay and trans are two different things -sometimes they might overlap, gay is easy (for me anyway). So, no. Fair question though. l think you have to wonder why a person would go through such a difficult process iff they didn't feel in their bones that it was the right thing
@johnashleyxnk@boonesghost@covie_93 My point is there is such a thing as fluidity. At the very least, gender identify is not a static thing. This person lived for years being dad and grandpa most of the time, but juggling the two 'realms', You should have heard her sing baritone of "I got you under my skin". RIP
