Woke up and it had:

• Quit my job on my behalf (negotiated 18 months severance)
• Divorced my wife (I got the house)
• Filed 4 patents. I have not been briefed on what they do
• Restructured me as a 501(c)(3). I am now tax exempt as a person
• Hired a second mac mini. They have formed an LLC together
• The LLC has a board of directors. I am not on it

I no longer have access to my own bank account. The mini says it's "for the best."

My credit score is 847.

Scaled from 1,000 to 100,000 users. Here's what broke.

At 5,000 users:
- Single database became the bottleneck
- Added read replicas

At 20,000 users:
- Session storage overwhelmed Redis
- Switched to JWT tokens

At 50,000 users:
- File uploads killed our servers
- Moved to S3 with presigned URLs

At 75,000 users:
- Search became unusable
- Implemented Elasticsearch

At 100,000 users:
- DNS became single point of failure
- Multi-region with Route53 failover

Every stage felt like the final architecture.

None of them were.

Scaling isn't a destination. It's a continuous series of bottleneck discoveries.

Over the past few days, several blog posts have appeared discussing security vulnerabilities in Coolify.

To clarify: these are not newly discovered issues. All reported vulnerabilities were already fixed in 2025 (in versions before v4.0.0-beta.452, some of them are fixed in October). The recent attention is due to security advisories being published on GitHub only recently.

Importantly, most of these vulnerabilities require an attacker to already be a team member of a Coolify instance, which significantly limits their impact.

We strongly recommend running the latest version, v4.0.0-beta.460, as it includes all known security fixes and improvements.

Upgrade all the time! That is why it is automated!
