@AdamSchefter@agetzenberg Good riddance. He forfeited his right for all the honors. His accomplishments are in the history books his name doesn’t need to be on the wall ignoring the awful person he ended up being.
@ryanthomastake All the players know it’s a business too. Take is not blindsided by these moves. At most he is waiting to see the next trade to backfill.
@PeterBONGLewis Isn’t it equally possible that if someone can make a great enough accomplishment to earn honors, that they can subsequently debase themselves enough to not lose being honored? This is where OJ is. Murder isn’t some vague or questionable moral standard.
@bcwinant@PeterBONGLewis It’s not retired. Only 12, 34 and 78 are retired. They generally don’t hand it out, though three players have been credited to it since OJ retired.
@KevinMassare Taking both picks is a disaster. NHL roster for worse and may continue to get worse if they lose Krebs and Malenstyn, this off season is looking like a huge step backward
@AfterLeWhistle Go after anyone! This off season is turning into a dumpster fire of everything that created the draught. Let good players go, don’t replace them. Sell futures.
@BrianWGR@pham1717 Jarmo kept the pick to draft a guy who will be playing for them long after Jarmo is gone. Does Jarmo not realize that he is to win now?
@ByMHarrington This is all disappointing. The roster is worse today than it was two weeks ago and they are trading present for futures. Futures look good but who cares? We all want now!
@JonScottTV A disaster. The last thing this club needs is more futures, unless it’s content to lose, move more stars and wait for the future. I sure hope not!
@Matt_Bove Back to rebuild mode eh? Nothing was good enough to win now so we kicked the can another 5 years down the road. GTFO. It’s going on 15 years when will the rebuild end?
@ByMHarrington So not that loyal to the crest after all. Fine he took the biggest bag but we can forget all the “I’m a lifelong Sabre fan/player BS/ wants to be here garbage.” He had to come here and he took the best bag when he could and it meant leaving. That’s fine. Next!
@JeremyWGR No and this is why, he has not been any better than UPL in his last three WPG playoff appearances. I don’t trust that would suddenly change at 33 to absorb the contract for 5 more years.
