We need to teach and instill good financial habits in the younger generation, so that they will not grow up financially blind, fall for every product sold to them, live beyond their means, and sink into debt the way so many of us did.
The thing is, it doesn't even feel like debt to you. Nobody calls it a loan. But that's exactly what it is. You are spending next month's salary on tonight, so when payday comes, a chunk of it is already gone.
It feels fun and harmless, until you are the one stuck. And give it time, these places will start opening proper credit accounts, and then you have got a whole generation starting out already owing money for nights they can't even remember.
Here's what gets me, the same person who will happily run a tab and promise to pay it at month-end won't sit down and put away even N$100 for themselves in a small investment account. They can plan to settle a bar bill, but not to save a single cent. They will commit to the club, but not to their own future.
I'm not saying don't have fun. Have fun, enjoy your life. Just do it with money you actually have, not money you owe. This hits hardest when you are young, because that same money you put on a tab tonight could have been the start of something that grows for years. That's the real price, not the bill at month-end, but what you give up.
Debt isn't fun, guys, especially when you are just getting started.
This is not financial advice, just something to think about.
This sentence by Van Gogh hits hard:
“If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now. For wheat is wheat, even if people think it is a grass in the beginning.”

The last time a new Bond game was on consoles was 007 Legends in 2012 which didn't even come close to a million sales in its entire run*. Love seeing First Light doing so well and fingers crossed for a sequel!
*estimated total sales between 760,000 and 780,000

Learn to play with your image, never taking it too seriously. The key is to infuse your play with the conviction and feeling of a child, making it seem natural. The more absorbed you seem in your own joy-filled world, the more seductive you become.
