This beautiful clip shows a brave US police dog injured in the line of duty, retiring to live out his days with the handler he served alongside — surrounded by love, peace, and family.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀.

At the NFRSA, we work to make sure that’s possible here in the UK too — helping cover medical costs for retired dogs and horses from the police, fire & rescue, NHS, prisons, border force and more.

Because when their work ends, our work begins.

Even a single pound can make a difference — and could help fund life-saving treatment for a dog or horse who’s given everything.

The NFRSA is a UK charity supporting retired dogs and horses from the police, fire & rescue, prison, NCA, border force, & NHS with vet bills. When animals retire, their funding stops. The NFRSA helps ensure they enjoy their Golden Years without their families experiencing the financial worry, by assisting with those medical costs.

With 400+ members, and over £130,000 given in grants to date, we hope you will join us.

I have a question.

Why is mental illness and lack of mental health an appropriate excuse for a mass shooter but not for an athlete to back out of a game or competition?
