Breaks are not great for everyone. I hope yours is awesome... but please be aware that some of your colleagues and students may be struggling right now.
@Gr8G8rGatsby @DrBradJohnson I believe that after 21 years experience as a classroom teacher, who has chosen to stay in the classroom rather than admin, that I have a depth of knowledge, am a "strong model", & know which teachers to turn to when I need too.
My most meaningful memory with my Dad was a time I really screwed up as a 19 year old. I made a bad choice, and I deserved to be hammered. But my Dad showed compassion. I didn’t get justice; I got grace.
There are moments when you can show grace to others.
They will remember.
Reminders for Math Students
•Everyone can learn math at a high level.
•When you believe in yourself, your brain thinks differently.
•Mistakes grow your brain. Struggle is good for you!
•It isn’t important to be fast in math. It is important to think deeply and creatively.
It’s important to remember that just because we disagree on something, does not mean we have to disrespect.
This is an invaluable life lesson with which both kids & adults struggle.
