On Monday, June 15, this fingernail fugitive visited a nail salon on Gate Parkway where she had over $200 worth of work done. Jacksonville, we know you love scoring deals on sites like Facebook Marketplace andCraigslist. If you are meeting up with a buyer or seller you’ve never met, please use one of our district substations or our downtown headquarters to complete your transaction. These are safe, well-lit spots with surveillance cameras, so if anything happens, you’re covered.
If your seller or buyer doesn’t want to meet at one of our spots, that’s a red flag.
This year, we’ve already had nine incidents where someone has had their motorcycle or dirt bike stolen while trying to sell it online. Please choose a safe place to make your transactions, check the profiler of the buyer/seller before you arrive, and if something does happen, call us right away.

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭?
On January 15, this would-be mastermind attempted a late night break-in at a restaurant off of North Main Street in the Downtown area.
The haul? Over $900 worth of merchandise, including tripod lights, speakers and propane tanks.
He dressed for the occasion in a black ski mask that mostly just kept his head warm, a red jacket and gloves.
The only problem? The mask didn’t really cover his face.
While he carefully chose his items, the restaurant’s security cameras caught every move in detail. Lights, speakers, tanks… gone. For what? Maybe inspiration for his own grand opening.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a school bus incident in which one student was cut with a knife and another student is in custody following an altercation on Division Street in Northwest Jacksonville. The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m.
Jacksonville Fire Rescue transported the injured student to a local hospital for treatment. Another student is in custody. While this investigation remains active, there is no ongoing danger to the public, and this appears to be an isolated incident.
We are in close contact with Duval County Public Schools officials, who have notified the families of those involved. According to DCPS, the bus was headed to Matthew Gilbert Middle School.
A lasting impact both on and off the field.

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐃𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬?
Last Thursday, January 15, you stopped by a Regency department store on Commerce Center Drive and made your unforgettable entrance. You walked in like regular customers but quickly switched up once that cart entered the picture.
You didn’t stick to one aisle. You went everywhere. Clothes, baby monitors, beauty items and even a coffee maker all made it into the cart. If there were a prize for grabbing a little of everything, you would have won.
One of you pushed the cart wearing a black Nike sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown boots. The other stayed close by in a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black boots and a pink hat, helping make sure the cart stayed full. Teamwork really does make the dream work.
When it was time to pay, you decided that step was optional. You strolled right past the registers and headed for the door with more than $2,000 in unpaid merchandise.
And if this shopping trip sounds familiar, it should. Just one day before, you were at this same chain store in Brunswick, Georgia, doing the exact same thing. Stealing.
We missed you at the checkout line, but we’re still holding your cell at the Duval County jail. If you recognize these register runners, call us at 904.630.0500. Want to stay anonymous? Contact First Coast Crime Stoppers at https://t.co/3EqITz7Fmi. Unlike their shopping trip, your reward actually comes with cash.

We saw you on a Monday afternoon inside a Highlands department store on Dunn Avenue and you made quite the holiday entrance. You didn’t stroll. You dashed like an elf late for Santa’s sleigh scooping up over $400 in drills and batteries.
You jingled from aisle to aisle, thinking every shelf was part of your personal workshop.
Before anyone could stop you, you ran off like a sneaky elf on Christmas Eve. We missed our chance to wish you a merry checkout, but we are keeping an eye on the Naughty List.
We would love the chance to chat about your holiday spree and the tools you “gifted” yourself.
If you recognize this naughty list bandit, call us at 904.630.0500. Prefer to stay anonymous? Contact First Coast Crime Stoppers at https://t.co/3EqITz7Fmi. Your tip could earn you a cash reward to fund a holiday shopping spree.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐒 | 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 This man, 55-year-old Hugh Perry, is serving a 30-year prison sentence after he sexually assaulted a woman nearly four years ago. Now, our Special Assault Unit detectives want to know if he assaulted other women. Our investigation began in February of 2022. Our detectives learned the woman had been out the night before in Jacksonville Beach but woke up the next day unsure of how she got home. The woman reported what happened to her through the Women’s Center SAFE Program. Through a forensic analysis of the woman’s medical exam and investigative tools, our detectives determined Perry had assaulted her.
Perry was accused of a similar crime in 2013. Additionally, in 2023, Perry was suspected of drugging another woman’s drink and stealing her belongings. This happened while he was on release ahead of his trial for the 2022 assault. A jury convicted Perry of sexual battery in September of this year. He is behind bars, serving 30 years. If you believe this man may have assaulted you, please give our Special Assault Unit a call directly (904.630.2168). We’re including his various mugshots in this post so you can see what he looked like throughout the years. We want to bring justice to every one of Perry’s victims.
