@purrificc shes learning that john has been dead the whole time not missing, in another timeline shes so lonley she becomes a homewrecker, the now dead body of her closest friend and sibling is inside someones wallet, john has depressive tendencies.
@compositehelm@XCIX_MAN i feel like jade did have inkling of dave and karkat working in a relationship i mean in candy she tries to fit karkat into the relationship when she was happy with dave by himself so she at least knows they work well together
ive just realized that when davebot appears in front of the meat crew it reveals that callies fanfiction is actually real because until that point they thought candy timeline was just a weird story callie wrote and now they know candy timeline did happen
jane is learning just how bad she could have actually been and that the potential for that is still in there and also that she has a son out there
karkat is learning that yup that version of him is out there somewhere
@TheAutizzler im glad someone else saw kiril as like a weird groomer because his vibes, his claiming of talia as "his" in the same way someone might go "MINE" the fact that hes okay with removing her conscious as long as her image is alive in some form. heebie jeebies from that dude
we need an avatar who dedicates their life to speaking with their past lives. someone who spends their time writing books about the lives of each avatar would be so interesting
They can read 500 fanfics where katara is “fixing” zuko because of his papa and excuse him manhandling her because “he’s going through it” but aang grieves being the last air nomad and they gotta go lie about how katara is being abused and reduce her accomplishments again
@kamsluvr it makes sense they would start with nisha with karthik. Outside of the fact that karthik found her, having her learn the foundations of bending from a cultural melting pot and then teaching her more refined bending makes alot of sense
i bet that what kills dirk is gonna be someone from deltritus. Not some grand ultimate jade or dave or revived june or any of the original kids from og homestuck.
I bet it'll be lylac and it'll be by accident. Someone who dirk didn't create or influenced
@kc8leashed like the averge man who can fly is a pilot so in order for that power to work you need a plane and even then you are an average plane pilot so if a plane is in danger and you need to pull of a risky move an average pilot couldnt do well dang your screwed
animals helped teach people bending be it through inspiration or from directly teaching them. Sonams staff had a similar connection the lion turtle of air had.
humans gained the ability to bend from lion turtles which are these weird mixes of reptiles and mammals. lion turtles because of their state as walking countries where creatures live and die, have an innate connection to the spiritual and they gave bending to the people
The writers of Avatar: The Last Airbender are seriously confusing me.
First, the original benders (dragons, sky bison, badger-moles, etc.) taught humans bending. Then we learned about the Lion Turtles granting bending abilities. Now, the Avatar Aang movie introduces Avatar Sonam’s staff, which can supposedly grant people bending powers?
So, how exactly did humans gain the ability to bend? 😭
At this point, it feels like bad writing. Are the writers expanding the lore or forgetting what they established in the first place?
