Here’s the team I used to go 10-5 at the World Championships this weekend! It was an incredible experience, and I’m going to put some of my thoughts in this thread…
when more team info is open the best players are happy because they will win more, then the casual players are also happy because they are worried their opponent at table 467 scouted their camerupt’s nature.
and then everyone in between is a cheesy gimmick loving schmuck
Turn 1: double protect (without using mega, in case they don’t mega)
Turn 2: Ttar mega, uses rock slide. But be careful! Aerodactyl has to tailwind rather than attack, in case the opposing charizard protects this turn (and saves mega again)
Congrats to the many who got the solution, which is in the reply.
More coming soon!
Open to feedback on the design here, this was my first time creating them in game rather than showdown.

I know a lot of new players have been trying out vgc recently, and I think this one is at an accessible difficulty level!
If you’re looking for more of a challenge, stay tuned… 🫡
it’s actually a crazy breath of fresh air to go back to playing pokemon where there’s no magic button to get out of dying to an incoming super effective attack for the first time in 6 years
Now that they’ve fixed the ability to click fake out after the first turn, they should really remove being able to side attack your own pokemon. What if a new player accidentally has their Kartana use sacred sword on their own Stakataka that just switched in?
Hot take, but I like the lack of items in Pokemon Champions. It was already flexing my teambuilding muscles when I couldn't default to putting some combination of AV, Clam, Cloak, and LOrb on every team.
I wouldn't mind a few regulations without Clam and Cloak.
