Almost two in a week! Tied for first, but lost on the tiebreaker/countback π’ But hey, we got our choice of prize (Β£20 rather than 8 pints) so it's all good xD
This ain't gonna last, is it? ππ€

Been doing pub quizzes for 6+ months, but tonight, at the club down the road, Dad and I FINALLY got our first outright win! ππ
Wouldn't have got it if we hadn't called the QM out for a wrong answer, so if you know something is right, don't be a doormat xD

@RikLivetweet@Jennybriss Alright, sound, I got it wrong. I listened to the wrong bit of the question more than what actually mattered and they were right just to take the one answer xD
Dgmw, I still think the question wasn't worded the best, but it is what it is π€·ββοΈ
@RikLivetweet@Jennybriss I do at least one pub quiz a week, so I like to think I've got a fair grasp on phrasing. With this though, I found it odd because of the Romans being mentioned.
Since Istanbul never served as the Roman capital w/ that name, it threw me and I feel it could've been a bit clearer
@RikLivetweet@Jennybriss Oh, I know I'm technically wrong xD I just thought they should've been a touch lenient is all π€·ββοΈ
I guess the confusion comes from the question mentioning the Romans/Byzantines? Under them, wasn't the city only known by the old name?
@larry_indian @wmcguy Ahh yes, because writing a half decent book or two completely alleviates the fact someone is a massive shit - how silly of me π
