@GovPhilScott, please ask the @VTANR to act on this matter before it is too late, and to direct the agents working under the permit to correct the damages caused to #CarbonZeroHydro and Walloomsac River by their project.
This is outrageous. @GovPhilScott what is the state going to do to help intervene here? I am a VT resident and am shocked that this situation has been allowed to get to this point. @Chef_Scully has worked tirelessly to bring hydropower to @TownofBenn.
@vtdigger Let's start with preventing the destruction of a zero emissions Bennington hydropower plant, unique in the country in that it improved water quality and habitat, @PeterWelch @SenatorLeahy@GovPhilScott#VT#ClimateAction@Chef_Scully https://t.co/yc7GG019Mu
In the shadow of the May 3-5 frac-out into the Walloomsac River, conditions continue to decline for Carbon Zero’s hydroelectric plant. Secretary Moore @VTANR , the future of the model project is uncertain, and we need the help of VTANR, or the plant will be lost. #CarbonZeroHydro
Our hydroelectric plant known for improving aquatic habitat is facing imminent destruction and no action has been taken by parties responsible or the state.
@GovPhilScott, where is my government in this dire situation?
Thanks to the @banner_news for helping raise awareness of this issue. @Chef_Scully is about to lose everything he has worked for in bringing hydro power to Bennington. Counting on @wmschultzconst to make this right. #carbonzerohydro
