Yesterday was crazy. After 3.5 years, we finally released https://t.co/SZQt5gfzdw - a calendar (and more!) for all things gaming. Proud to announce this with one of my best friends, @xCheesewiz. 217 new users and 97 entries added all in one day. ๐
@Jonnyboig@miKa7al@eliflores498155@Bigbird_fgc Correction: The earlybird prices for Evo were actually cheaper this year than last year. I just checked my registration. Last year I paid $262 for the same stuff. One game, finals day, etc.
@Jonnyboig@miKa7al@eliflores498155@Bigbird_fgc It isn't double from last year. It's similarly priced. Early bird prices were 238 USD if you include arena finals and game entry. Without the arena it was like $200. Flight prices are disgusting though.
@crofts At least in SF, every time there's a lag spike mid match, we always separate and mash jab until it's over. Don't try to fight through the random lag spike.
@hasrolyagami@jchensor Then you have to ask yourself, what percentage of fireballs did Mena slide? Just because it was a dangerous space doesn't mean it wasn't a great option. Mid screen and close fireball was one of his strongest tools because of the way he used it. Not everyone could have done that.
@zDamascus In some places, the person behind the counter will press "no tip" for you to speed things along. It's not expected to tip unless you're actually getting delivery or wait staff service. It's nice but not necessary otherwise and no one will think anything of it if you don't.
@OutsidersAgenda@BestUnkleDan They _lowered_ the price from last year, at least during the early bird pricing. I don't know if the current price is different from last year. They also told us early when early bird pricing would end.
@danielkelly_io@vuejs@nuxt_js I work with mostly backend-focused engineers in a legacy Rails app. We've been introducing Vue on high interactivity pages. Staying on Rails and using InertiaJS as our glue layer just made too much sense for the scenario. (also have a Laravel/Inertia/Vue app, my preferred stack!)
@MopGarden I randomly find them while going through laundry (because wife) and at this point I think of them in the same category as eternally mismatched socks that crop up around the house.
@CharlyWood7@StreetFighter You can play Elena in offline modes during maintenance, you just can't play online. That's at least how it's been for other characters.
@tv16bit@jav1ts Why? Lots of characters have super situational combo extensions against Dhalsim's OD Arch. It's not really practical in a real match, just fun for combo videos.
@aarondfrancis Persistent nested layouts are a superpower. Inertia with Vue is such a fun combo! I wish I could use it at work. (We have a project coming up where I might be able to convince them...)
@PovilasKorop This is the same in Rails as well. When importmaps became the new default, it didn't hamper anyone upgrading who was still using webpack. Laravel's new directory structure didn't stop me from upgrading an app that uses a domain-based directory structure.
@PovilasKorop I think the line that you have to "keep up with every new cognitive load" is really telling. He seems to view every option as The New Recommendation, rather than, well, an option. Defaults are meant to have the ability to change - they don't typically impede your upgrade path.
