No one is adding their medal tallies to our tallies. No one is deluded enough to do that. It’s just nice to celebrate them as well.

Probably a hot take but it’s totally fine for media to write about the victories of Fil Foreigners in sports. These are human interest stories. These athletes are descended from Filipinos who sought a better life abroad and they are part of our ever growing history. (1/2)

I’m printing my baggage tag at the airport & this guy just goes straight into the line for bag drop. Employee tells him he needs to print a tag. He condescendingly says “I know.” He doesn’t leave the line.

It just so happens I was crossing the street with a family earlier today (We were walking on the pedestrian lane) and cars stopped for us. The family was so incredibly grateful, as if the cars weren’t supposed to stop for us and did us a favor.

Taipei is also what it’s like to live with dignity as a public commuter, and a disabled one at that. They have a punctual, easy-to-understand public transportion system and if you’re a PWD riding the bus, everyone tells you to take your time getting on and off.
