@mrhowardedu Tricky to do at middle school. You need to know your students. I tell my kids they can talk with me and I mean that but sometimes you have to initiate the conversation. Another kid may tell you. It’s a delicate balance. #rhmswinchat

@mrhowardedu A2: I also like the ‘hot wash’ idea. I typically vent to a team teacher or principal. I don’t like to be that agitated but it happens. If it’s the end of the day, my husband gets to listen! Lol #rhmswinchat

@mrhowardedu A3: Every child is special on some way. If they draw, I hang their pictures. As a struggling student, I know their feelings of inadequacy academically, you have to build their self worth and pride to build their academics #RHMSWINCHAT

@mrhowardedu A1: I am to strong with welcoming after the year begins. I never want a kid to feel they don’t matter. I try to build a relationship with all. I always greet them and dismiss them with kind words. Communication is huge #RHMSWINCHAT
