My grandmother passed away recently at 93. After her funeral, the family gathered at her home for a meal. When we got home, I realized N(4) had nabbed a small toy from her house. “Buddy, you can’t take things from other people’s houses without asking.”
N: “Yeah, but she’s dead.”
N(4) asked me if I could order him some bricks, windows, and cement so he could build his own house in the backyard. Asked him where he learned to build a house, he said “Looney Toons. The piggie who built his house out of bricks was a smart piggie.”
Having older kids and younger kids at the same time is wild. It was a random Tuesday and my youngest learned to pump by himself on a swing and my oldest scheduled his first job interview and I’m so proud of both of them.
N(4) stepped up to the sink to wash his hands after using the bathroom and absentmindedly put toothpaste on his toothbrush instead. He realized his mistake, shrugged, and said “Guess I’m brushing my teeth now,” and just went with it. 😂
N (4) was bored at B’s Xmas concert and started counting down the songs to give himself hope for the end. When we got to the last song, he excitedly held up one finger to mark the impending release from his seat. The finger he chose was his middle finger, and he was not subtle.
