Tomorrow marks the start of my new journey.
3 and a half years of blood, sweat and many tears and I’ve finally made it to this moment - I swap the badges, and start my new role as a band 5 RMN ❤️
The most surreal feeling in my life so far. So glad my Daddy was well enough to finally see his baby girl graduate.
1st in the immediate family to get a degree 🎓
Lego therapy on this cold Saturday on Spring Ward.
The ladies are loving their new environment on the ward, and so grateful to have the space to do things like this continuously throughout the day. ❤️

Had the honour of co-delivering another session last week with Jan 24’ MH Nursing Students at @SalfordUni as they prepare for their final placement of Y1. I feel privileged to be able to share my experiences that I had as a student nurse, now that I am a RMN 🥰 @UoS_HealthSoc
Today we said goodbye to our @Charl_hamond. You may have only been with us a short time, but you have truly been amazing. A personal thank you from me, for helping me through a challenging few months. I for one, will miss you immensely. Salford are lucky to have you!
Chelsea, be brilliant every day. A good mental health nurse is precious and makes a huge difference to patients and the team. Be wonderful. I will never forget the thrill of the first time I answered the phone and said, ‘Claire Murdoch, Staff nurse. How can I help’.
Now that I’ve finally finished university, I want to focus on enhancing student experiences on placement. Any past, present or future students want to give me some feedback of your placement experiences, what you would like to improve and what is helpful?
As mental health professionals, we don’t just give medication, we don’t just ‘do notes’. We are personalised care givers, we know our patients, we do anything we can to keep them safe, and we put our whole heart into our role - even if it means doing dances for our ladies ❤️
After a long 3 years and 8 months, today I finally signed off my final hours to become a registered nurse. 2300 hours of theory and practice completed.
I’m so ready for my next adventure!
A huge thank you to team Redwood for making me feel so welcome and supporting me! ❤️
