It breaks my heart to confirm waterhemp in more Manitoba fields. Twice I’ve heard, it was just a couple plants a couple years ago, how did this happen? It’s a Tier 1 noxious weed for a reason #rogueone don’t wait for a million to destroy.

Crop checking's been fun.

Cow parsnip is blooming. It has a pretty flower, but don’t touch, there are chemicals in the sap that irritate skin = contact dermatitis. It can be mistaken for giant hogweed, but giant hogweed is much, much, much larger (hence giant). #weednerd

As a grain farmer I deal with risk and uncertainty because I cannot control the weather. We can control our actions, relationships and trade agreements. Trade should not be the biggest wild card in the deck when it comes to the success of my family farm.

If you are driving today, take a look at the farm fields along the road and look at the garbage. Maybe you will see a piece that you tossed. Ever wonder who cleans that up? It's the ones that feed you! #asifIhavetime #thinkabouttheenvironment
