🚨 Robert Pattinson has admitted that one of the most infamous stories about him is actually a lie he made up just for fun.

Pattinson has previously spoken about using that freedom to entertain himself, especially when he’s trapped in an endless cycle of interviews while promoting a new film.

The story in question dates back to 2008, the year the first Twilight was released. At the time, Pattinson claimed the incident happened while he was filming in Spain, saying a woman he described as a “stalker” camped outside his apartment every day for weeks.

He said he was “so bored and lonely” that he eventually asked her out to dinner. According to Pattinson,

“I was so bored and lonely that I went out and had dinner with her,” Robert claimed. “I just complained about everything in my life, and she never came back. People get bored of me in, like, two minutes.”

Because Pattinson presented the story as true, it quickly gained attention and was widely believed.

However, in a more recent interview, Pattinson revealed the truth: the stalker dinner story was completely fabricated.

During the Water for Elephants press tour in 2011, Robert revealed in a live interview that a clown once died right in front of him during a trip to the circus. “The first time I went to see the circus, somebody died. One of the clowns died.”

“His little car exploded,” Rob added. The host was clearly taken aback by this revelation and pressed Robert on if he was telling the truth, and Robert insisted that he was.

He continued: “Seriously. Yeah. My parents had to — everybody ran out. It was terrifying. It was the only time I’ve ever been to the circus.”

He later admitted it was just another tall tale told out of boredom, one that unexpectedly spread across news outlets around the world.
