Very few Indian directors can do epic dramas. Sanjay Bhansali n Rajamouli r two great examples. No one other than these two made epics that had timeless quality to them. Heard Rajamouli is planning todo Mahabharata. That wud be truly epic

Ramayana teaser looks okayish. The casting is off. Yash looks great as Ravan but his voice doesn’t carry that power n aura of Ravana? Ranbir has lost that ‘barfi’ innocence with age n that’s works against him. Sai Pallavi is decent.

ate so much chocolate pudding today that I’m hyperactive. I need to edit my chapter before sending it off to beta readers. Editing is draining n tile consuming. Lines that looked great in first draft may feel redundant when read as a whole. Scenes need better connectivity etc.,

He is a great dancer but his lines (the arcs that limbs make when dancing) n mudras are not perfect. Even in kadhalan it was the same issue. Kamal, Vineeth, Sridhar are good examples who get postures n lines right. But in freestyle he is unbeatable.

Dont think any other movie maker enjoys this luxury. Like audience r ready to ignore flaws n read more into his scenes. dennis villeneuve is a better story teller but Nolan offers something more onscreen. A sense of sublimity to the viewer. That’s what has earned him this fanfare

he suffers from exposition problems but the audience r willing to go to the extra mile to understand his films n intentions deeper. I see every Nolan scene as a spectacle. He uses music, dialogue n atmosphere to immerse you n make you feel like you r watching something sublime.

It's kind of funny how something like 20 major math problems have been solved recently and it had zero impact on the real world.

Two writers born invert different worlds n very different times arrived at similar words n emotions. That’s something. This happens n maths, sciences n engg all the time. So to be original one needs to consume knowledge in the most unconventional ways. Nash was one gud example

I’m slowly starting to believe that the idea space is finite dimensional. I observed this in engg n now in writing too. I was so happy that i wrote a great dialogue for one of my characters n then when I was reading a book written in 1980s, i saw a similar dialogue.

The problem is many 30 year olds who started that protests think like this. That’s the scary part. This is coming from someone that is not even a fan of Modi n absolutely dislike Hindutva politics

There is some truth here. Most of my EE friends chose pure math as they cud not survive engg. It was just an easy jump from high school JEE math. They always performed better than the pure math students in their courses. Same applies to Theo physics too. Just an observation

The amount of progress AI has made in pure math is much greater than the amount of progress AI has made in any other field. I guess this means pure math is just one of the easiest human endeavours?

In my books a scientist working for months n years on a problem/theory or a writer working for years on an epic novel are the greatest rebels. Their works are the revolution the society needs. the best revolutions r wrought in the minds n not on the streets.

I think Ludwig was going for natural n unique sounds for the film. But I feel a movie like Odysseus needed an epic score like interstellar. Even in Oppenheimer he created ‘can you hear music’ which haunted people after they left theatres. This one not any memorable piece

Gen-Z is born into social media n dating apps. Their minds r wired differently. I don’t think intellectual discourses in college halls or podcasts will reach them like it did with millennials. We need to fix this man. They need to have right exposure for a better India
