https://t.co/DZzZkcVdPg Thrilled to see 6 Indian gems—IISER Kolkata, IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune, IISER TVM, IIT Guwahati, and JNCASR—in the Nature Index 2025 Top 50 Young Universities for Chemistry! Plus, CSIR labs shining collectively! @jncasr@IndiaDST High time for new Univ. !
I had a truly wonderful experience attending my first MOFES'26 conference on porous materials, organized by Prof. Tapas Kumar Maji (my Master’s supervisor) and Prof. Balasubramanian Sundaram at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (@jncasr ), Bangalore. I sincerely thank all the volunteers and organizers who worked tirelessly to make this conference such a great success.
This conference means a lot to me personally. JNCASR and my former lab (@Molmat_JNCASR Group, led by Prof. Tapas Kumar Maji) will always hold a very special place in my heart- it gave me not only scientific training but also shaped my journey and life in many ways.
The conference began with the welcome address by Prof. Tapas Kumar Maji, followed by inspiring words from Bharat Ratna Prof. C.N.R Rao, and a very special video message from Nobel Laureate Prof. Susumu Kitagawa. That moment was truly emotional for me and made me realize how blessed we are to be part of such a scientific community. My sincere thanks to the @MOFES organizers for creating such a memorable start.
I also presented my poster titled “Shaping Nanoparticles to Understand Catalysis.” Although my poster was not directly related to porous materials, the conference allowed me to gain immense knowledge in this field. Since my Master’s work focused on porous materials, it brought back many memories from my earlier research days.
Over the four days, the plenary lectures were absolutely inspiring- starting with Prof. Roland A. Fischer, followed by Prof. @kaskel , Prof. Christian Serre, and concluding with Prof. Hiroshi Kitagawa. Each lecture offered a unique perspective on the science of porous materials and their diverse applications.
The keynote and invited talks were delivered by many leading scientists in the field, including Prof. Arne Thomas, Prof. @EderGroup (my co-supervisor, Faculty of Technical Chemistry, TU Wien), Prof. Xing Li, Prof. @wuttkescience , Prof. J N Moorthy, Prof. Murugavel Ramaswamy, Prof. Amanda Morris, Prof. Prof @ Q. Snurr, Prof. Rahul Banerjee, Prof. Asim Bhaumik, Prof. Abhijit Patra, Dr. Pradip Pachfule, and many other eminent researchers.
Overall, MOFES'26 was a grand success, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to all my JNCASR colleagues and volunteers, as well as my former supervisor Prof. Tapas Kumar Maji. I truly hope to keep visiting JNCASR, my Master’s institute, again and again in the future, and I look forward to potential collaborations with Prof. T.K Maji.
Finally, I would like to sincerely thank my supervisors Ass. Prof @CherevanAlexey and Prof. Dominik Eder for giving me this opportunity, as well as my funding sources- the COE MECS Cluster and Faculty of Technical Chemistry, TU Wien for their support.
Grateful and inspired! 🙏✨
Thank you MOFES'26!!
Thank you Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)
Grateful to our esteemed speaker for delivering a thought-provoking lecture at MOFES’26. Steady thinking, consistent work, and patient exploration reflected in talks by speakers. The ideas shared led to meaningful discussions and learning. With this,we successfully concluded DAY 2
MOFES’26 DAY 2 …..It began with a successful first session featuring an insightful scientific talk …..Looking forward to more stimulating sessions. @Molmat_JNCASR@jncasr@jncbala@Maji_TK@mofesmml
Successfully wrapped up the second session of @MOFES’26….engaging discussions, insightful presentations, and exciting scientific exchanges. Looking forward to the session ahead!! @jncasr@Molmat_JNCASR
We are delighted to host Prof. Roland Fischer for a plenary lecture at MOFES'26: an engaging talk on porous materials shaping the future of energy and sustainability!
We will be honoured to begin MOFES'26 with the inaugural video note by Nobel Laureate Prof. Susumu Kitagawa from Kyoto University, Japan.
📍 JNCASR, Bangalore | 📅 Monday, 12 January 2026
See you all soon!

Hello Connections,
This year has been a really special one in my research journey. I had the chance to present my work, both as oral and poster contributions, at several conferences: @SP9Conference , the Student Conference @vutvbrne , MECS Booster II @COE_MECS , 6th FemChem Scientific Workshop 2025, TUW TCH Science Day @chemistry_tuw , and the Conference on Applied Surface Chemistry – COAST25.
Across these events I shared my research on faceted nanochemistry for energy applications and how it links to surface science to design more efficient materials. I also presented my work on molecular clusters grafted on TiO2 for HER, aiming toward cleaner and more sustainable hydrogen production.
I am genuinely grateful to my supervisor @CherevanAlexey , the @EderGroup , @tu_wien , all collaborators, and @COE_MECS for their support, guidance, and funding.
I had the pleasure of delivering several invited lectures on "Energy of Light for a Sustainable Future" to the students of Brno University of Technology in October and November. Great audience. Hope to build more connections within the EULiST network.

Many thanks to my supervisor @CherevanAlexey. Attending SP9 as my first international conference was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the sessions and was grateful for the chance to connect with professors and fellow PhD students.
Landed in Madrid. Ready for the legendary @SP9Conference and happy I could bring my team this time. Two oral talks, three flash talk and three posters, starting tomorrow at 18:45. Look forward to see old and make new friends.
