I want to wish everyone receiving your #examresults tomorrow the best of luck 🙏
You, your teachers and your parents have worked so hard and should feel incredibly proud of your achievements!
Dreading tomorrow because I can already feel the demeaning telling off heads of subject get… even though we had no control over the changes to grades. Even though we cannot make a kid care. Even though we cannot make a kid pick up a pen. But sure. It’s all our fault
School- take email of your phone during summer for ‘wellbeing’
Also school- pointless emails asking questions about class lists send multiple times if I don’t reply within 30 min?!
Congratulations to everybody receiving your exam results today
Whether you get the grades you were hoping for or not, don't panic - there are so many opportunities for you
I have no doubt you will go onto achieve incredible things in your future
This. Friend asked me today will I get a pay cut or sacked if all Students don’t get target. How can I be responsible for 40 young adults attainment? I literally have no more to give/gave every waking second.
It's that time of year to post this again....‘Teachers can only ever have a relatively small impact on their students’ results - yet they are often judged as if they are 100% responsible’ https://t.co/ZdsGGYtPoi
As GCSE and A-level exam results days loom, @matilda__martin reflects on the journey these cohorts have faced to reach the big day over the past four years – and asks leaders if a return to 2019 standards is fair

The toilet argument still seems to be rumbling on. What jobs exactly are all these trolls doing where you can go to the toilet whenever you want? Nothing I’ve never worked in before teaching allowed me to just go to the toilet whenever I fancied?!
No thanks. Always struggling with the fact the flights are wed or Fridays. When the actual hell are teachers meant to get away if we had maybe two weeks at a time so could fit in one weeks holiday!
@VirginAtlantic can you please help me with the name of a desert I had on your flight!? I had the Asian vegetarian meal on an evening flight from NYC to Heathrow. Some sort of set dessert with coconut. It was so nice!
Teaching can be a really hard job, but so are lots other jobs. Tired of teachers constantly making out their job is the hardest. It has its tricky moments and pressures it also has moments of utter joy. I have never worked as hard as my dad worked.
It’s a great challenging job.
Good news that the NEU has accepted our 6.5% pay award.
This is good news for teachers, good news for parents and most of all, good news for students.
