We interrupt the news about the Monterey Park mass shooting to cover the Half Moon Bay mass shooting.
Because we have lost our fucking minds.
The Second Amendment, like slavery and subjugation of women, was one of our founders’ worst 18th century ideas.
Repeal it.
A 6 year old child brought a gun to school and shot a teacher.
It’s the guns. We have a problem with guns. Not video games. We don’t need bullet proof backpacks. We don’t need better doors.
We need to do something about the guns.
If more guns and fewer gun laws made us safer, America would be the safest nation in the world.
But 400,000,000 guns in the hands of civilians coupled with weak gun laws have given us a 25 times higher gun homicide rate than any peer nation.
It’s the fucking guns.
@mmpadellan It’s too soon to politicize this.
So let’s talk about Colorado Springs instead.
Or Virginia.
Or Uvalde.
Or Sandy Hook.
Or Columbine.
Or Sutherland Spings.
Or Las Vegas.
Or Pulse.
Or Aurora.
Or…
This is the logical outcome of lax gun laws like permitless carry, which was signed into law by Gov Abbott one year ago, but was opposed by police, gun safety instructors, doctors, victims advocates, editorial boards, faith leaders, vets and most Texans. https://t.co/wN2TCrhTaF
@StopAAPIHate Asian Americans have spoken out against the weaponization of anti-China rhetoric for years. In the week after Trump’s 1st tweet using "Chinese virus" in March 2020, Twitter hashtags expressing anti-Asian sentiment increased by 174 times, the report notes.

New @StopAAPIHate report finds that 1 in 5 self-reported anti-Asian hate incidents involved language scapegoating Asians for COVID, spying or economic insecurity.
In 2020, 1 in 10 tweets about Asian Americans by politicians included racist/stigmatizing language, per the report.
One of the most heartbreaking sentences ever written:
“The child was pretending to eat out of an empty lunchbox because they did not qualify for free school meals and did not want their friends to know there was no food at home.”

Here’s how the abortion laws affect pregnant women who want their babies. For those still refusing to see how this affects ALL women, read Chloe’s story:
Japan: 9 gun deaths every year
USA: 9 gun deaths every 2 hours—40,000 every year
9 annual gun deaths vs 40,000 annual gun deaths. Almost like gun laws work.
My thoughts and prayers goes out to the families of love ones loss & injured at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX! Like when is enough enough man!!! These are kids and we keep putting them in harms way at school. Like seriously "AT SCHOOL" where it's suppose to be the safest!
