In the past five years, I’ve seen a sharp rise in students struggling with foundational school skills:

-Legible handwriting
-Bringing basic supplies
-Following verbal directions
-Spelling & punctuation
-Reading & writing stamina

Ignoring these deficits in the name of "rigor" only exacerbates existing learning gaps.

One thing is clear with all of the player retention announcements from @WSUCougarFB…the dynamics have changed. There is very clear alignment between program, athletic department and administration. Maybe more than we have ever seen. Real commitment to compete at a high level!

@seahawkss1 @BBGreatMoments Who are you replacing? It depends on if you value average or power? Carew hit over .320 lifetime but only 82 home runs. Murphy hit around .265 with over 350 homers. Carew was great, but hard to make an all-decade team
