This fall, Hannah will attend the University of Maine at Farmington to major in Early Childhood Special Education. Her aspiration is to work in a life skills classroom to help children who learn differently reach their full potential.
Our 2026 Old Orchard Beach High School Chenette Leadership Scholar is…Hannah Webber! Hannah has demonstrated exceptional leadership on and off the field, serving as a student council class president and a multi-year softball team captain.
A significant portion of this time was dedicated to supporting a young girl with Down syndrome during summer camp and volunteering for OOB Recreation Department events, including Easter Extravaganza and Concerts in the Park.
After graduating next month, Jackson will attend Gordon College to play lacrosse while double-majoring in Health Sciences and Theology with a minor in Sports Management. He eventually aspires to become a Pediatric Emergency Physician Associate and a high school lacrosse coach.
Jackson Howard is our recipient of the 2026 Chenette Leadership Scholarship from @ThorntonAcademy for his outstanding community service and leadership.
Jackson serves as Student Body President and founded the Communion of Christian Athletes.
Jackson visits eighth-grade wellness classes at Saco Middle School to help mentor students about leadership, teamwork, handling adversity, managing conflict, and staying calm under pressure. In the summer, Jackson works as a lifeguard in Old Orchard Beach.
Sam Drummey is our @ThorntonAcademy Leadership Scholar. Sam was Student Council Vice President, Environmental Club Co-President, & a student rep on local city committees. He was also selected for the U.S. Senate Youth Program. Sam will be attending @Columbia this fall.
Samuel Coldwell of Hollis is our 2025 Chenette Leadership Scholar from Bonny Eagle High School! He is recognized for his Kiwanis Key Club volunteering & helping with the Special Olympics. He also excelled as the varsity soccer team captain. Samuel will attend UMaine Farmington.
Congrats to Charlotte LaSalle! She is our 2025 OOB High School Leadership Scholar. As an Interact Club member, she helped collect donations with Toys for Tots to make sure local children had a bright holiday season. She will be attending Suffolk University, majoring in Biology.
