I could not have asked for a better New Year gift!! Feel overwhelmed by the feeling that my PM @narendramodi ji will see all my tweets from now! Thank you Modiji, I realise the immenseness of the responsibility it comes with too!!
Vipin Kumar is an Indian construction worker in Romania.
One day, while he was walking near Nicolae Romanescu Park in Craiova, he saw a girl slip through a thin layer of ice and start struggling in the sub-zero water. Her father tried to reach her but became trapped in the broken ice.
Without any hesitation, Vipin used a nearby sledge to slide toward her. When the ice broke beneath him as well, he plunged into the freezing water, managed to grab the child, and held her above the surface for nearly 30 minutes until emergency crews arrived.
Both Vipin and the girl suffered severe hypothermia and were rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment.
Romania granted honorary citizenship to Vipin Kumar for his bravery and for risking his own life to save the girl.
Nowadays, social media is filled with hate against India, and Indians are increasingly being targeted. But when stories like this emerge, they rarely receive the same attention. They are not shared as widely, and somewhere along the way, these stories get buried and forgotten.
@manas_muduli I am not impressed @anandmahindra ji, how come these cars are transported in the open like this?
That’s not real QC control system in place…
In the decade preceding @myogiadityanath’s tenure, UP suffered 47,509 cases of Encephalitis leading to 8,373 infant deaths.
34 million vaccinations and 21 million tap water connections later, comes the news that for more than 2 years running, UP has reported 0 deaths. Stunning.
#WATCH | Delhi: At the Republic TV Summit 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, "Sridhar Vembu is seated here. When our entrepreneurs operate with a 'Nation First' spirit and set their goals while understanding the country's needs, institutions are built, and the nation prospers. What has Sridhar Vembu achieved? I recently visited VivaTech in France. There must have been around 1.5-2 lakh young people present. The French President and I were visiting various stalls to see the work done by these young innovators. We visited the Zoho stall. I was amazed and felt a sense of pride to see the crowd of European youth gathered there. They were eager to understand this new global phenomenon. Perhaps it hasn't been discussed as much in India as I witnessed in France..."

Hello @annamalai_k ,
Heard the key highlights of your podcast today. My compliments on your articulate elucidation of your thoughts. Undoubtedly you are a thinker politician, an intellectual that is a rarity in politics. I want to pick on two key concepts you talked about and link them with your views that you expressed in the past couple of days:
1. “Positive politics” - Was your tweet criticising NEET an example of positive politics?? Notwithstanding the fact that you were beating a dead horse (raising paper leakage after more than a month) or nitpicking on certain aspects related to administration of exam. Did you ever think before posting that raising concerns (imaginary or not) at such a critical time when kids are about to sit for examination, will create doubts and confusion in the minds of students which may result in them performing below par in exams?
At such a juncture I would be writing a motivating post for kids assuring them that everything will go well and they need not worry about anything else but focus on exams. That would have been positive politics…
Again, while it is ok to point out challenges but also provide solutions. Pointing out mistakes is easy, different politics, positive politics would be when you not only point mistakes but also suggest solutions from which the education ministry can benefit.
2. “Ethics in every sphere” - I would like to draw your attention to your post on “North Indian workers”. You know very well about the north south fault-lines that Dravida politics has unfortunately created in Tamil Nadu. Your using the above term which could have been easily written as “migrant labourers” did not at all help the cause of removing those fault lines, on the contrary it only ended up reinforcing those fault lines. Forget the technicality of whether it was legal or no, but was it “ethical”?? And you reinforced that ‘unethical’ term 7 to 8 times!
I think it is important for leaders to hold themselves up to what they say otherwise over a period of time they lose their authenticity. Whatever a leader says, they need to practise themselves first!
You dont have to respond to me but kindly do introspect and see if you can do things differently in future and really show the world how you are different from other politicians. It is your actions that should speak going forward.
Please don’t take it as criticism. This is a sincere advise from someone who has been very supportive of your politics not only while you were in BJP but even after that.
Congratulations on your
phenomenal membership drive and all the best for the future!

Indian worker Vipin Kumar has been awarded honorary citizenship by the city of Craiova, Romania, after he jumped into an icy lake and saved the life of a 5-year-old girl. 🇮🇳🇷🇴
For nearly 30 minutes, he held the child above freezing water until rescuers arrived.
This is the side of Indians the world rarely sees in headlines: courage, sacrifice, compassion and humanity.
Yet stories like this seldom receive the attention that anti-India narratives do. No coverage from Western media outlets.
As India's envoy noted, Vipin's actions embodied the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam "The World is One Family." ❤️
Congratulations Modiji on becoming my country’s longest serving elected prime minister!
I am in Nice today and just realised so are you!!
As part of Bharat innovates please do provide a special mention on the fragrances and essential oils business as well, where my state Kerala can also contribute strongly in the Indo-French partnership!
A special economic fragrance corridor between Kerala and Grasse!
Merci Beaucoup!
I think you mean @annamalai_k … and you’re 💯% right!! Respect for Annamalai is indeed from the fact that he didn’t act like a power hungry politician!!
He is ready to start from scratch cos he had full confidence in what he believes… So do his supporters 🙏🏼
My love for the @BJP4India is no less today than it was in 80’s… have seen the struggling BJP set itself as the party that leads India to VIKSIT BHARAT 2047
And today… I extend that same love to @annamalai_k and his new vision…
Hope the public has the ability to identify true visionaries and their plans for Vikas.
Pray that the public also has the ability to identify and move away from cockroaches and rodents!!!
