In my schooling we mainly talked about tectonic plates as volcanoes, earthquakes, and the reason we have separated continents but I had never heard that they actually help the erosion cycle by bringing up new materials. #OurEarthIsCool #BclubSci

The magma ocean sounds.... absolutely terrifying but so intriguing. So, I looked up pictures of it and it looks beautiful and has some great pictures showing what it would’ve looked like including the mantel and core. #bclubsci

It wasn’t until mid-1970s that scientists first proposed the idea that smaller planet hit Earth and the collision particles became our moon. Seems so long ago yet so recent. #moon #bclubsci

Just found out that Uranus, and Neptune were likely much closer to Jupiter and Saturn at one point but were shoved away because Jupiter’s gravity. #insane #bclubsci
