#Bclubsci I really enjoyed reading this book. It helped me fill in the gaps that have emerged throughout my educational years. As I close this book, I know I have become a better teacher and a better student. (Also, chapter 1 is on my real @madisonchenot)

In my schooling we mainly talked about tectonic plates as volcanoes, earthquakes, and the reason we have separated continents but I had never heard that they actually help the erosion cycle by bringing up new materials. #OurEarthIsCool#BclubSci
The magma ocean sounds.... absolutely terrifying but so intriguing. So, I looked up pictures of it and it looks beautiful and has some great pictures showing what it would’ve looked like including the mantel and core. #bclubsci
After reading this all I want to know is why our earth has tectonic plates and other planets don’t. Also, do we even know enough about other planets to know they don’t have tectonic plates? #BclubSci
#BclubSci I never really thought about how we actually found out the information about the inside of the earth but if I did I don’t think I would’ve ever came up with using elastic waves.
It wasn’t until mid-1970s that scientists first proposed the idea that smaller planet hit Earth and the collision particles became our moon. Seems so long ago yet so recent. #moon#bclubsci
Just found out that Uranus, and Neptune were likely much closer to Jupiter and Saturn at one point but were shoved away because Jupiter’s gravity. #insane#bclubsci
