A1: Next year, I will lead my class in student centered disciple by giving my students a say in our classroom rules. I will also allow them to write notes throughout the year to me, if they think a rule should be changed or added. #besplc
A5: I would like to know each competency very well before implementing it. Then I would be able to teach each one in depth and model it for my students. Having discussions with other teachers will help with examples that can be used in the classroom. #BESPLC
A4: I think we just need to be aware that everyone goes through different things in life. We need to be supportive of each other and have our work place feel like a safe environment, just like the one we are trying to create in our classrooms. #BESPLC
A3: My greatest takeaway is how important SEL is and how much it influences them, as they get older. If a student has been immersed in SEL their whole academic life, they will know how to communicate with teachers, ask for help, and be aware of what they need help with. #besplc
A2: In BAW, I really noticed how well my students respond to me and to their partners. They are kind, and paraphrase the question in an intellectual way. The random partnerships teach them to be okay working with anybody, even if it’s not their best friend. #BESPLC
