My uber driver kept taking turns that weren't on the map. I kept saying, “the highway is faster, why are we going into the industrial district?” he just smiled into the rearview mirror and said, “the app is glitching, i know a shortcut.”
So I pulled out my own phone to cancel..
Thank you for the thunderous reception and the unmatched energy. Today, you’ve proven once again that the spirit of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga lives on in your hearts and your actions.
Thank you for standing firm, keeping the flame of liberation burning, and choosing to be on the right side of history. The march to a better Kenya continues, and the Lakeside has set the pace!
At the 25th Kenya Paediatric Association Scientific Conference, Dr. Patrick Amoth delivered a clear message time is not on our side. With 2030 fast approaching, Kenya must fast track results for every newborn, child, and adolescent.
Immunization remains at the heart of this effort, protecting millions of children from preventable diseases and giving them a chance to thrive. The call to action is clear: strengthen implementation, prioritize equity, and deliver quality care where it matters most.

The situation our country faces demands that we remove William Ruto from power. It doesn’t matter who becomes president next—we will elect one from our 50 million Kenyans, as long as it’s not him.

Cervical cancer is not just a medical diagnosis, it disrupts families and communities. Treatment costs drain households, income is lost, and lives are put on hold.
In Kenya, this is the reality for over 6,000 women diagnosed every year and for the families of more than 3,600 women who don't survive. Early HPV vaccination in girls and regular screening for women can change this story.
The National Vaccines & Immunization Program (NVIP), in partnership with the Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI), convened an Immunization Advocacy Workshop bringing together 6 counties—Baringo, Kilifi, Laikipia, Kisumu, Kakamega, , and Kitui—to advance solutions for vaccine availability in Kenya.
This advocacy-focused engagement with EPI logisticians, county immunization champions, youth representatives and partners examined systemic and policy drivers of vaccine availability , strengthened national–county coordination and accountability, and identified priority advocacy actions to improve vaccine stock management in line with national immunization priorities.
We appreciate the valuable participation and partnership of Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), UNICEF, WHO, PATH, HENNET, County governments, civil society organizations, and journalists present, whose collective commitment is critical to ensuring uninterrupted access to life-saving vaccines—especially for hard-to-reach and zero-dose communities.
Together, we are strengthening collaboration to protect every child. 💉🇰🇪

When religious leaders support immunisation, places of worship not only strengthen faith, but they also help address fears, misinformation, and doubts around vaccines while encouraging prevention and care.

As a parent, you never want to put your child in harm’s way. Getting them all the recommended vaccines on time is a simple choice that offers powerful protection for your child’s future. Don't wait, vaccinate today.
#VaccinateToProtect#VaccinesSaveLives
Vaccinating our children not only protects them but also:
✅ Reduces hospital visits and costs
✅ Protects vulnerable individuals
✅ Keeps children healthy and in school
✅ Allows parents to work and care for their families
#VaccinateToProtect#VaccinesSaveLives
Immunisation works best when parents are informed and involved. School vaccination brings together parents, teachers children trust, and trained health workers to make protection easier, safer, and closer to where children already are.

Nairobi Hospital sits on prime Upper Hill land worth billions.
When an institution controls land of that scale in Nairobi’s financial district, its leadership will inevitably attract intense interest.
The hospital may be a medical institution, but the land it sits on makes it far more strategic.
It is therefore not surprising that many influential actors would want a say in how such an asset is managed going forward.
Dr. Obwaka should be allowed to run the institution as a professional. What he is going through is deeply unfortunate.
Dr Job Obwaka is a decorated obstetrician and a leader at the Nairobi Hospital. He was abducted at 9am by the police and his phone confiscated and switched off. All this in pursuit of a determined effort by senior officials in Government to grab the land on which the hospital is built. We must stop these people on the ballot in August, 2027. It is WANTAM!
@sholard_mancity Democracy is a mirror, not a mask. From Plato to Alexis de Tocqueville, history reminds us: a nation gets the leaders it deserves. When voters trade conscience for coins, Parliament merely reflects the marketplace the electorate itself created.
