Here me out on a #Dabihawks au set in like the Edo period where Touya is the son of high ranking military commander but as he grew up strange marks began to appear all over his body and his mental health started deteriorating as he got ostracized and shunned by the people of his village and by his father who expected him to carry on the great name of the Todoroki family.

All the hate and neglect Touya suffered after his mama passed from illness led him to fake his own death and escape into the forest, finding an old blind man in a cabin who rises him as his own.
