finished sputnik sweetheart by haruki murakami yesterday. i love the motif of the existence of an alternate reality that accompanies many of murakami’s works, and how surreal and fantastical his writing can be, while also appealing to very real human emotions. also it’s sapphic!
the copenhagen trilogy by tove ditlevsen is truly a work of art. her prose is flowery yet delivers visceral imagery to the reader. the ways in which she chronicles childhood, pre-addiction, the aching loneliness of being misunderstood, the relentless desire to escape…masterful.
the new anime season has some gems! goodbye, lara is especially gorgeous, and i also adore i want to love you till your dying day, and though i am an inept villainess <3
