This morning I was thinking about all this. Looking out over LA where there is so much creative energy.
The courage it takes to be an artist...to suffer all the criticism.
To be so vulnerable.
And to keep moving forward.
That's why this album is such an inspiration.
Lyrically I’ve seen a big change. That’s the very first thing that I’ve thought and felt about it, what was left inside of me after listening to it. It’s not the music. That’s my thought for now.
Anyway, after a few listenings I might be ready to share my opinion on the new album. First, don’t want to compare, we’ve been all seeing what kind of direction Lana has been going to with music, and it’s the type I like, but I can say I liked Chemtrails and BB more.
Despite that, as I had already said, I love the 2nd part musically so much, it gives me a lot of deep emotions&chills. What I like the most is seeing Lana going deeper to her soul, to her intimate thoughts, doubts about life/death, her personal life too, her family & belogings.
“Not talkin' 'bout the stuff that's at the very heart of things. Do you want children? Do you wanna marry me? Do you wanna run marathons in Long Beach by the sea? I’ve got things to do, like nothing at all, I wanna do them with you. Do you wanna do them with me?” 🥹
..”But I can't say I'd run when things get hard, it’s just that I don't trust myself with my heart. But I've had to let it break a little more ‘cause they say that's what it's for. That's how the light shines in..”
