I always think about Stephanie Meyer who was a stay at home mom to 3 young kids who wrote Twilight after they were in bed. It took her a few months and then she sent off her Literary Agent queries and someone's intern happened to grab the full & they loved it & within like 6 months of having the idea she had a check for a $750k advance in her hands Twilight is objectively a terrible book.
