If you genuinely want to talk about the history of #King Kigeli V Ndahindurwa and what happened to him, then let us discuss the whole history, not only the parts that serve today’s political narrative.

My question is simple:

After the @rpfinkotanyi took power in 1994, why did the government you support refuse to allow King Kigeli to return to #Rwanda?

King #Kigeli wanted to return to his country. But the #RPF government you support did not allow him to return and he remained in exile until his death in 2016.

So, if you really care about what happened to King Kigeli, why did the government you support not allow him to come back during his lifetime?
Why didn’t you complain about it ?

There is another important question:
When King Kigeli died, why was he not given a national mourning and recognition consistent with his status as a former Head of State?

And let us not forget the Rwandans who were killed, imprisoned, or forced into exile because the RPF regime accused them of supporting King Kigeli.

Therefore, if you want to speak about the suffering and history of King Kigeli, let us discuss the entire history: what happened under the Belgian administration, what happened afterward, and what happened under the RPF government after 1994.

Please do not invoke King Kigeli’s name today for political purposes while ignoring how he and those who supported him were treated after 1994.
If you truly respect King Kigeli, then you should respect his entire history not only the parts that are convenient for today’s political argument.

Mr. Rudatsimburwa, before pointing fingers at others over King Kigeli’s history, answer this simple question:
Why was King Kigeli not allowed to come home under the #RPF regime?
