Minister @KarinaGould calls ECEs & child care workers the "backbone" of the child care system. But here in Ontario, with a $19 wage floor, that system is being built on their backs. We need the federal and provincial governments working together to fund decent wages. #WorthMore

ECEs and child care workers are worth more! Tell your MPP that Ontario needs a strategy to solve the child care workforce shortage and ensure that families have the care and early learning they need. https://t.co/hLMNdIRm0K
Showing my support for ECEs and all education workers. They are the backbone of Ontario's education system, the lowest paid and have been stripped of their constitutional right to fair and collective bargaining! Not ok! @Compass_ELC#39kIsNotEnough#DontBeABully
Join us @compass_celc on Instagram over the next two weeks as we share facts from our WAGE Project's Needs Assessment. This project is funded by @WAGE_FEGC and aims to create sustainable Licensed Home Child Care Programs for newcomer, 2SLGBTQ+, or low-income female identities.
Early Childhood Educators deal exclusively with the only remaining group ineligible for vaccines, who aren't subject to mask guidelines due to their age and who can be challenging to keep physically apart, even when separated into smaller cohorts. https://t.co/hB1oRLw54W
@aaandy5000 Agree! The heart of education is found in the classroom, making connections at the desk of students. A student (now an adult) once told me, his best memory of his principal was when he sat with him at lunch, and helped him peel his orange.
@BreneBrown Our son had a difficult adolescence, with many poor decisions. We stood by him faithfully always responding with "we will always love you for who you are not what you do!" When he had a son of his own, tears filled his eyes and he said... I finally understand unconditional love.
Ontario's ECEs have been forgotten on the frontline. The @AECEO & @ChildCareON's new report calls for immediate action to better support the child care workforce. https://t.co/V1IvPXivWi via @ChildCareON
We are putting in applications to @ONeducation to run emergency child care programs for eligible healthcare and frontline workers. We hope this means child care workers will be bumped up on the eligibility list by @ONThealth as our frontline child care workers remain essential.
