Tried to watch Maharaja because of all the buzz. Couldn't get past the scene where a victim was r*ped (it wasn't graphic & supposedly done behind a closed door).

I have no tolerance for this kind of violence used in entertainment media in any sort of way.😣

I had Yoshi (5, with ASD) assessed at a SpEd big school today, and kept hearing how his behaviors are "usual," "expected," "typical" even "normal" for a person with his condition.

I have mixed feelings, but mostly, hope that he is going to be in a place where he is understood.

Motherhood (actually, parenthood) is tricky. You could do your best, spend all your money on your kids & still raise shitty creatures. Or you could be lacking in many ways but your kids grow up to be fine people, anyway.

Watching Age of Adeline for the first time, and I'm so bothered that in the 50s, if you were 45 and looked 29 you would be considered a freak that the govt needed to run tests on.

I love how they remained good friends-turned-into-family for decades after the show ended. 💙
