In the second half, Nottingham Forest were given a goal kick after a Benjamin Sesko shot deflected off a Forest defender. It should've been a corner. Forest then nearly score via Elliot Anderson & is incorrectly given a corner after his shot deflects off Dan Ndoye.
If we're talking about consistency, shouldn't we also talk about similar moments in the same game - or does the beneficiary of the moment & decision made matter more than what actually happened?
It is with great sadness that we share the news of Dickie Bird's passing.
The Yorkshireman was a wonderful player and enjoyed a famed career as one of the game's most beloved umpires.
He died peacefully at his home, aged 92. Rest in peace, Dickie. ๐ค
Won't accept Roma's proposal.
Won't reduce his salary to join his favorite club, Chelsea.
Doesn't want a move to Turkey.
Swear I'm tired of this guy.
Just wants to profit off his big United contract he doesn't care about playing football. No ambition whatsoever.
@richardajkeys The rules were set out in advance, and have been in place for years. Both clubs qualified for this tournament legitimately. Their league performance is irrelevant. Just as you are.
Arsene Wenger said in 2012 that a Champions League place is a trophy & in 2017 he said there should be a trophy for 4th place. Arsenal have won 4 FA Cups in 20 years & not a single European Trophy in their history.
it wasn't a discussion in 2023 when Sevilla won it (finishing 12th), in 2022 when Eintracht Frankfurt won it (11th), in 2021 when Villarreal won it (7th), or when Sevilla won it three years in a row from 2014-2016 despite finishing outside the top 4 every single year.
This narrative is extremely disingenuous. It's because Manchester United would stand to benefit so much from winning it, just be honest. That is the problem.
