DYK: Half of the US is agricultural land. Of all Ag land, 2/3 is marginal ranch-land used for ruminant livestock and the other 1/3 is arable cropland. BTW, half of all crops are grown with manure fertilizer. Take home: livestock is essential for sustainable land use.
