With just 3 more rounds to go, things have heated up at the Chess Olympiad 2026! Team India will face Germany in the upcoming 9th round, the team which took down the leaders Uzbekistan in Round 8. Uzbekistan will take on Team USA on the top board!

In the Women's Chess Olympiad, it will be India vs Uzbekistan in Round 9. The tournament leaders China will face off against Armenia!

India made their first draw at the Chess Olympiad 2026 in the 8th round as the defending Champions drew against Azerbaijan. Praggnanandhaa and Gukesh had advantageous positions against Mamedyarov and Muradli, but they couldn't make the most of it and had to stay satisfied with a draw.

Arjun Erigaisi came out of a tough position in the opening and held a draw against Aydin Suleymanli. Vidit Gujrathi had a solid draw against Rauf Mamedov on the 4th board.
