@IMPeterLarge Let me try again . Black has got 2 plans I think Nc4 to pressure on b2 or get the N to e5. His alternative is e6 or e5. But white has got Bg5. If not a3 there is option of playing Bg5 I don't like it. now like Rb1. you hinted subtle and also it will move from the dark square

@IMPeterLarge Assuming you were white, there are so many candidate moves to me.i like Ra3 to meet Nc4 with Bb3. I also Bd3 but don't know how to respond to Nc4. I prefer Ra3. Woth the idea of pressing on b6 n b7
