Just TWO WEEKS after Bannerghatta Road was laid, BWSSB has dug it up again!

Crores spent on laying the road, only for it to be torn up days later. Where is the coordination between civic agencies? And who is accountable for this waste of public money?

Bengaluru deserves roads that last, not roads that are dug up again and again.

The Bill passed the Karnataka legislature on August 24 and permits up to 5% of park land to be alienated for specified public infrastructure.
Bengaluru was built around its gardens. Now, we are legislating how much of them we can take away.

5% may sound small. But once the law says park land can be alienated, the principle of protection has already been breached.

A city struggling with heat, traffic and disappearing green cover cannot afford to treat its parks as spare real estate.

Not 5%. Not 1%. Not one inch.
