If you want the Red Sox to trade for a big bat, you have to be okay with overpaying.
You're not getting players like Zach Neto, Jeremy Peña, or top catchers without giving up premium prospects. Guys like Franklin Arias and Connelly Early are exactly the type of pieces it'll take.
If that's not worth it you thats very reasonable, but you're just not going to get those guys.
