TJ Ford has been on a run in Rookie Ball. Just went 4-6 last night with a walk and 2 RBIs. With a swing like this you can generate power at any level, especially should he continue growing into his frame.
*112mph exit velo for a triple in the first video.
@angelsnuffy Reasonable question but think Ford being a bit older than the talent he faces skews the numbers heavily in his favor. Could definitely be some discrepancies in the exit velos tho. We won't know until we see him continue the power surge in Low A
@John07252512985@bigleagues@theblockspot Whose to say that Ohtani wouldn't default to the expected styles of that day and be a ball on the ground type of hitter.
@idvssuperego@VizTheRogueTTV@bigleagues@theblockspot Lmao Babe Ruth was 6'2 215 in his prime. If you're going to speak on him do it with respect and facts. He is one of the strongest men to ever play baseball. He swung the biggest bat ever swung in MLB history. If he was playing nowadays he'd be a top 1%er in bat speed
@TheGarrative9 Yeah same. I think we're going to start seeing a lot of winning coming up thru the system over the next few years. Feels nice to have a Low A team brewing that is more than just other organizations DFA candidates
@TheGarrative9 A lot is from the left side but he still posts 100+ mph velos from the right. I'm of the camp that he should definitely get more ABs in Rookie ball as he grows into his size but it's still insane to see him floating a near .500avg and 600 OBP 😅
@TheGarrative9 He's been clocking a lot of velos around 110mph. Much of it is likely due to his advanced age, but that swing is so quick and easy to the ball. He has a ridiculous amount of power for someone of his frame. And that speed man. If he grows into himself he's going to be a problem.
Ha-Seong Kim vs Luis Rengifo. Depending on the contract valuation I think the answer is obvious here. The Angels need to go all in on value gloves this offseason. If you want to improve your pitching, improve your defense!
