@ChewValleySch students& parents-Thank you, I am impressed
• Students at home where possible
• Yr11 & 13 students following the advice & focusing on next phase of education
• Good numbers on our home learning platforms, using the suggested timetable
Keep the momentum going!
Just a little thank you to the team in school, the team at home and the team at our MAT HQ- we really appreciate the work you’re all putting in to ensure we can look after young people and all stay safe #StayAtHomeSaveLives
I am in awe of these students... their resilience has surpassed anything I could’ve imagined today. You supported each other, and should be so proud of yourselves. I know I am. @ChewValleySch GCSE Dance, Class of 2020, I’ll miss you loads, and will never forget you. 💚
Today we will talk to Year 11
We will tell them:
•things will be ok
•focus on things you can control
•keep learning (especially in areas in your future plans!)
•we won’t forget you- there will still be a last day, leavers assembly and prom-just at the right time! 1/2
All Chew Valley staff have been amazing-each playing their role in whatever way was needed.
Some in school, some out of school but always completely committed, caring & human
Great teams find a way and we have a really great team
Try to rest this weekend!
Tough week as a a school leader-but I know 100% we did the best we could for @ChewValleySch students
Back to back emotional days
~Thursday, saying goodbye to Yr 11+13, students we care so much about & will miss
~Friday, assemblies to Years 7-10 trying to prepare for what’s next
Can I say thank you to all of the Chew Valley parents who are front line staff working in hospitals and other similar locations. We will do our bit to support over the coming weeks.
There are not enough words to say how proud I am of the students and staff of Chew Valley School this week. The staff have gone above and beyond what we could have asked in difficult circumstances.
