Nestlé has recalled these baby products.
So before you mix that next bottle for your baby, read this thread carefully as it concerns their well being.
If you feed your baby NAN, SMA, or Alfamino, a toxic bacteria has been found in some batches. And you might have it in your house right now.
You see, Nestlé has issued a massive global recall for several baby formulas (products in the image above) because they found a toxin called Cereulide (from Bacillus cereus bacteria) in some batches.
This toxin causes severe nausea and vomiting in babies. And the scary part is that boiling water does NOT kill it. The toxin is heat-resistant. So even if you prepare the formula correctly, if the powder itself is contaminated, your baby is at risk.
Now, NAFDAC has not released a specific alert for Nigeria yet. BUT our markets are porous. And people import ‘UK SMA’ and ‘Imported NAN’ every single day. So if you buy your formula from supermarkets that stock imported goods, or you bought it abroad, you need to check the last stock to see if your tin look like any of those products.
If yes, go to Nestle’s UK Website (SMA & Alfamino) and Nestle’s MENA Website (NAN) to verify if your batch does not fall under the recalled ones.
If your batch code matches the ones on that list, please DO NOT USE IT.
And please, don't keep this information to yourself.
If you have a friend, sister, or neighbor who uses SMA, NAN, or Alfamino, retweet this or send this to them NOW.
You might be saving a baby from poisoning today.
Help save Toluwa's life
Our hearts are heavy as we share the story of my younger sister Modurotoluwa Adefowoju, a bright, loving, and courageous 16 year old girl whose life has been turned upside down by acute leukemia. She was initially misdiagnosed in 2023 with JSLE (Junior Lupus) and spent over 13 months treating the wrong disease. Just a few months ago, Modurotoluwa was full of laughter, dreams, and plans for her future as a Cybersecurity expert. Today, she is fighting for her life. After weeks of tests and hospital stays, she was diagnosed with a severe form of blood cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, that requires urgent and intensive treatment. She has endured countless rounds of painful chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and long days in the hospital. Her doctors have now recommended that she undergo a bone marrow transplant the only hope for a lasting cure. Unfortunately, this life saving procedure is not available in Nigeria. Our family has been advised to continue treatment and proceed to India for advanced care and transplant. The total cost of treatment, travel, and recovery is estimated at $70,000 far beyond what our parents can afford. Through all of this, Modurotoluwa has remained incredibly brave. She smiles through the pain, prays for healing, and dreams of returning to school and living a normal life again. Please join us in this fight for Modurotoluwa's life. Your generosity can make the difference between hope and despair

I watched TG Omori’s interview with Odira and I didn’t even realize when the tears started falling. When he spoke about how kidney failure drained him financially, how money lost its value because every single naira went into staying alive, it hit too close to home. How long can money really carry you when sickness enters the picture?
I remember when my sister’s sickness started. For almost a year, we were treating the wrong thing. Juvenile lupus, they said. It wasn’t until much later we found out it was leukemia. By the time we crossed ₦30 million at LASUTH, still treating lupus, it stopped making sense to calculate expenses anymore. That was already the early stage of leukemia.
I would go all the way to LUTH to get platelets for ₦52,000 each. Not one, sometimes six in a day. And this went on every day for about three weeks. The painful part? That same platelet costs ₦7,000 at LASUTH, but it was never available. Add chemotherapy, hospital admissions, tests, drugs… it never ends.
Starting this GoFundMe was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. Nobody wants to be known this way. Nobody wants to ask. But illness humbles you. It strips you of pride. Every day, I asked myself: what if we couldn’t start treatment on time? I watched children in the same ward die not because there was no cure, but because there was no money. It felt like waiting for our turn. A turn that never came, and by God’s grace, will never come.
You think life is easy until it isn’t.
This is our reality.
And we are holding on to faith and to the kindness of others.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us fight. 🤍
These three brothers from one family- now known as the Omatu brothers- are all dead.
They were trapped for 7days in the collapsed Nigeria House building in Lagos that caught fire and crumbled on 24 Dec 2025.
For 7days they got no help,
The government failed to save them.
We tried to raise an alarm but human life has no value in this country. We watched them die.
Steve Omatu
Kenechukwu Omatu
Casmir Omatu
I’m so sorry brothers.
We failed you. Nigeria failed you.
May you finally find peace.
And God console your family.
From my DM, Chidi Marvelous is still trapped in the rubble after 8 days. His wife a nursing mother of a four weeks old baby is pleading for help. She believes her husband is still alive and will be back. Dear Nigerians, please help.🙏
“They Brought Out 15Bodies This Morning, But They’re All Dead. Many Others Are Still Trapped At The Great Nigeria House, Balogun. The Lagos State Government Is Very Slow in Rescuing Those Still Inside,”

Today is now Day7 of the fire.
#NotoTINUBUtax without accountability and transparency.
Forgery, propaganda and ZERO empathy for citizens has been the hallmark of the APC led government in 2025. If you want our taxes you must show Nigerians how you judiciously spent our commonwealth.
We must wake this government from their delusional monarchial dreams and remind them that THEY ARE IN OFFICE TO SERVE US, not LORD OVER US AT OUR DETRIMENT whilst failing again and again to fulfill the number 1 purpose of governance: to protect life and property.
Balogun Market burned this month. Igbo traders were trapped inside. Some are still missing. Lagos State Govt downplayed it. The Nigerian Govt said nothing. No emergency response worth the name. No accountability. When the same markets linked to the same people keep burning and the state keeps shrugging, it stops being an accident. This repeated neglect is a pattern, and patterns demand suspicion and investigation not silence.

Steve is one of the people still trapped under the rubble since 24th December till now. Steve hasn’t been rescued as we’re speaking. Lagos in 2025 can’t rescue its citizens trapped for days even when they victims cried out for help under the collapsed building.
Lagos is a crime scene, Sanwolu and Tinubu are the captains. Monkey Republic. Tufiakwa.
Kene is to relocate to the UK this January but Kene has been trapped under the collapsed building since 24th December till now. Both the Lagos State Government and Nigerian emergency services have done little to nothing to help rescue Kene.
This is truly a disgraced country.
A fire engulfed a building in Lagos State 6 days ago. The name of the building is Nigeria House building in Lagos.
As I write this tweet,
There are human beings trapped inside the rubble of the collapsed building.
FOR 6 WHOLE DAYS.
The Nigerian Media is silent.
The Nigerian Government is doing nothing.
THERE ARE PEOPLE TRAPPED IN A COLLAPSED BUILDING IN LAGOS FOR 6 DAYS.
Please kindly lend your voice!!!!
Let us not watch these people die!!!!
Nigeria punishes truth-tellers.
Awka Prison Officials Unfairly Keep Nnamdi Emeh in Solitary Confinement.
